Hi All,

Would anyone be interested in having a mini-competition with 10-20 competitors at the 2010 Australian Toy Hobby and Nursery Fair?

It would be a great opportunity to promote a WCA competition in July. :)

Please note that this wouldn't be an official competition and would be treated more like a meetup, but hopefully with stackmats and displays.

When?
Saturday 13th or Sunday 14th of March

Where?
Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre

It's probably far too soon to have it as an official competition due to there being less than a month until the Toy Fair.

If the venue hosts agree and Speed Stacks are happy to sponsor us again (I still have their equipment) then sure - it'd logistically be possible.

Interesting idea Tim, have you actually organised something or is this just an 'idea' at this stage.

Well, we just need 10 or so cubers to come along. I've equipment and can bring some scrambles. That's pretty much it.

I've asked the expo hosts if they're willing to let us cube there for free. I'm still waiting for a response.

Yeah, I need to emphasize more that this will be a "meetup" conducted like a competition.

There's not much chance of it being a WCA competition, it's waaaay to late for the notice period and organising things properly :p
