what to buy? (3x3x3 and 4x4x4)

im ordering a 3x3x3 and a 4x4x4 and i was wondering what cubes are the best for speedsolving...

Since it's going to be said at one point in time to you, types of cubes are all about preference. I use edison cubes which can be bought from http://tribox.cart.fc2.com/. Type A's from puzzleproz.com are good first cubes, and if you don't mind having a non black or white cube, his Type D's have the good screws. Search Type D's to find out about good and bad screws.

For 4x4s, Mefferts is the best (mefferts.com). If you are looking for cheaper, eastsheens are cheap but imo they suck. You can buy them from puzzleproz. cube4you.com sells a knock off of mefferts/old rubiks. http://cube4you.com/455_New-4x4x4-Cube-with-tiles(Black).html This is the one I have and I'm happy with it.

Yes and Yes. Read up and watch videos about tension cause the Type A can be very good but with the right tension. It takes some time to get right.

yea, i know, i had a type c diy but i lost a center piece, and as far as i know you cant get specific parts like that.. so im getting a new one

hey, i ordered both my mefferts 4x4x4 and my pieces from cubepart.com a week ago, i have heard that mefferts takes 10 to 20 days, i was wondering how long shipping is for cubepart.com.. i want to know when to expect it.
