I've been debating whether or not to get a type f. There are some people who love it, and some who hate. Can someone please help me? Or suggest some other types that is your personal favourite (can't have a hybrid).

the safe cube is old type a, because it is the most popular -- almost a compromise between the attributes of all the other cubes. because of this, however, i found it kind of ''meh.'' so i use a type f.

what i notice about type a is that it feels "smooth," but this smoothness actually gets in the way of raw turning speed. type f is a lot clickier than type a, but my TPS with f is faster. the best aspect of type a is its corner-cutting.

I used type F as my main speedcube for a while. But after a while, it started popping too much for me. Now I use a C4Y type. I like it a lot.

Ok. So the major contenders we have here is: C4U, type F, and type A.

C4U: great corner cutting, jams up, very smooth. Clickly-clacky feel.
A: great corner cutting, jams up, moderately smooth. Smooth-clicky-clacky feel.
F: great corner cutting, rarely jams up, smooth. Smoother feel.

Depends on your style really.
