Unsure whether this is the right place to post this thread, I'm asking everyone whether http://solvethecube.110mb.com is a good web site to learn algorithms from?

The reason I love this website so much is because I can just view the Applet, and do the same moves, until it's stuck in my muscle memory and work from there, instead of having to read that damn notation which is soo much slower.

Anyway, the reason I'm actually asking is because I found a faster algorithm than he published on his F2L page.

U' R' F R F' R U' R' - Is what he suggests, but I saw
R U' R' U F' U' F

So what's this all about? Is it because this page is outdated (which I can't imagine, because the algorithm I saw is so easy), or is it really much faster to perform his algorithm?

Also, I should mention this is not me complaining about his algorithm being slow, but it's me asking if his website is a good one..

Why would I think you're being mean? You were politely answering my question and I appreciate that.

As you might have noticed I'm the not the best at cubing ever, so I didn't really understand that myself.. I just thought it was strange.. But thanks for clearing that up, anyhow, now I can go back to learning F2L without having to be scared his algorithms sucks ;)

Solvethecube is a very good website hosted by the current European champion, so every algorithm on there has potential to be done fast.

Sometimes you won't like an algorithm that others use, which is no problem. Find something that works for you. I don't like a lot of Joël's algorithms >.<

His OLL "tutorial" is really innovative; I learned much faster from his organization, and made connections between algorithms and how they are related (they are sort of obvious once you understand it hehe).

It's also the site I started learning the beginner/keyholemethod from.
