[Unofficial] Yu Nakajima Rubik's magic 1.22, two days of practise

^^ Maybe Syuhei Omura taught him.:P Takayuki could've taught him 5x5 and Magic. Syuhei taught him 2x2 and 4x4. Yumu Tabuchi taught him BLD. And maybe Takumi Yoshida taught him OH. I need to find some speedcubers that live nearby.

lol, I'd have more touble than you in NZ....... Dene's in the south island, I'm in the north and who knows where n00bcuber and Malcom are...

The Japanese have cube meetings where they discuss stuff (DCC, I think it's called). No doubt they all help each other. You guys forgot to mention Mitsuki Gunji and Raiden(Akutsu?), they are good at everything also.

That sucks. I'm in Ohio and the closest are Dakota in Newark, Shaden in KY?, and Mike in Indianapolis. All the other cubers in my school have quit and I've surpassed them in a relatively short time period.
I live in Pittsburgh, and Dan Cohen goes to school here as well. Depending on where you live in Ohio we could be pretty close... Pittsburgh is less than an hour away from the Ohio border.

On topic, it's insane how fast Yu gets good at things.

You guys know, magic is really easy to do... If you have a good magic and if you move fast, it's not hard at all to get fast. 1.22 isn't even that fast. He's not as godly as you guys all think he is. He just moves, really, really fast.

Wow! Very fast!

I know, this guys is crazy. In four days he gets a 5.81 second 10/12 solve average for the 2x2 cube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTT2oPocSZ0

That's not really anything. In half an hour of seriously starting to practice 2x2, I got my average down to 8.02 seconds. Considering how fast he turns anyway, it's not very surprising. I'm pretty sure many people can do that. My turning speed is like 3.5tps at best on the 2x2, so his look ahead isn't even better than mine.
As for the magic, never tried that, so I don't know. It's rather brainless fast moving. I'm nice at speed origami, I hope it's similar. :)
I don't really think you need to live near a good cubist to get better. Just practice yourself works quite well.
