YOUR Cubing Pet Peeves

1. When judges solve during your solve (or a special case where my judge was reassembling a 3x3 and it exploded over the entire station lol).

2. People asking to see your cube then instantly dropping it as though they've never held a 3D object.

3. Non-cubers going out of their way to prove that cubing is actually just an illusion that requires no skill regardless of how much you explain the actual process. Like one time someone watched me solve a 5x5 amd said things throughout my entire solve like "No no no he's doing the exact same moves over and over again" (I most certainly was not). Bro FIRMLY did not believe that different scrambles had different solutions.

4. My cubes exiting the scrambling station covered in grease or feeling like a completely different puzzle.

5. People screaming when they get a good time(or sometimes a bad time for them) next to you (I totally get being excited and celebrating, but I have issues with sudden loud noises right next to me). If I know I'm next to someone who frequently does that, I wait until they're finished to begin inspection.

6. 3x3 OH

1. When I actually try to use real big cube scrambles and found out I misscrambled.
2. When I do a solve and it turns out the timer didnt start.
3. When you can't hear ANYTHING in the waiting area at comps, so you don't know when you're being called up.
4. piece pops.
5. When non-cubers talk about how easy it is to cheat in comp like bro do you think the delegates are idiots smh.

1. People who’ve never solved a cube who think you’re slow
2. Cubers with a superiority complex
3. New people on speedsolving that post 763 threads on their first day on the forums (it’s not that bad, but it’s annoying)
4. Videos titled “50 things non-cubers say” or something like that that just come up with the most random things to fill the 50 slots
5. 90% of cubing yt shorts
6. 50% of people under the age of 12 at comps (I’m sorry youngens on this site, kids are annoying)
7. People that act like cubing is the most important thing in the world and get mad at non-cubers for not understanding cubing
8. People who spam the profile section with videos that don’t relate to cubing AHEM

Here’s my top ones:
1. When non-cubers say, “Let me scramble it.” And just do 5 turns or smth.
2. When non-cubers take my cubes and do something stupid, my friend twisted the anchor corner of my WeiPo 2x2 and ruined it.
3. When I say average like 22 seconds for example, and someone says, “that’s fast” when it’s actually slow.
4. When non-cubers think stupid YT cubing shorts are funny or cool (CFS especially)
5. When non-cubers say, “I’ll show you a Rubik’s cube trick” and does the stupid 2 moves thing and fails (because it isn’t solved)
6. When I go to someone’s house and look for a cube, and of course it’s a crusty dusty musty Rubik’s brand 💀
