Yiheng Wang Stops Timers Early?

Yiheng's hands are quite close to the timer - I can imagine doing something like this to intentionally get faster times. A less experienced judge (or maybe even an experience judge) would probably not pick up on it in the moment, and if you didn't film the solve (which is allowed), there would be no way of knowing what happened after the fact. Even if someone saw and reported it, it would just be one man's word against another's.
People do that so they can stop the timer faster when they end the solve and not have to try to stop it twice (have you seen the videos of Yiheng? This happened twice to him in one comp he probably has PTSD and has to make sure that he stops the timer he probably gets nervous every time)

It doesn't matter why someone does it, having one's hands this close to the timer seems like it can lead to problems. As NigelTheCuber said above, apparently he has accidently wrist-stopped the timer before, which should be a DNF per this rule:

A6c) The competitor must fully release the puzzle before stopping the timer. Penalty: disqualification of the attempt (DNF)

I don't think anyone is cheating, but if something like this can lead to hard-to-detect early timer stops, it warrants looking into.

I agree with this, and would like to add that Antonio is looking into it. I think it should be DNFed, but not because of jealousy or something. It should be DNFed because no matter if it's a 50 second solver, a 5 second solver, a 30 year old, or a 2 year old, you should still follow the Regs (A6c in this case) because that's why they are in place.
