I know I have not been on here in a while but i wanted to share a new personal best with everyone. this week i went from aroun 50-55 seconds to 39 seconds:D. Has anyone else ever had such a drastic drop?

Congrats on the time.
Has anyone else ever had such a drastic drop?
In the past week I have dropped from a 1:15+ average to a 50 sec average. Drastic enough? :D
For me at least, every week or so my average will just drop like 10 sec, my average will have very little variation for a time and then suddenly it just drop.

I had a drop like this too, it happened sometime between friday and saturday, I took 10 of 12 averages on both days... Friday: 1:04, Saturday: 0:51

I finally switched from using 4-look LL (beginner system) to using 2-look (Fridrich) by buckling down and learning the 7 cross OLLs.

I know 9 of the PLLs, and hoping to get it up to at least 13 by next friday (attending the Washington DC Open, woo!)

This wasn't too big, but I came from a 57.38 second average to a 50.89 average in two days. My main reason was because on the 57.38 average, my hands were REALLY cold. :D

Wait I think you're talking about single times, so I've dropped from 43.66 average to a 29.38 single solve in 7 days.... not really single times but.... whatever

scriptsease, in terms of the Fridrich method, 2 look last layer means solving the last layer in two steps = Full OLL + Full PLL. From what your description and signature says, it you're doing 4 Look Last Layer = 2 Look OLL = 2 Look PLL. When you said 4 Look LL (beginner system), you probably meant the method Dan Brown teaches, but you're still doing 4 look LL in Fridrich Method terms.
