Before we start, I bought the non-magnetic one. (And I recommend getting the magnetic one, TL;DR)
First impressions
Out of the box, like any other QiYi cube, it felt fast and scratchy. On its first turns, the cube was quite loose and the outer layers were catchy, like, really catchy. (I recommend tightening the cube a little bit, doing a half-turn with a screwdriver would do the job fine.) 3x3 stage was a nightmare for my first solve on this cube.
Breaking in
This might be just me, but the cube gets quite smooth relatively fast. (I'd say around 40 solves.) The chance of getting lockups decreases every solve. My times were quite bad, though. (10-20 seconds above my average, I average 2:30-2:50 on the Red)
Some aspects you might want to consider before buying:
Plastic: Quite hard, similar to an OOTB WuShuang plastic
Stability: Extremely stable (to the point where it can be called "blocky" by some people.)
Corner-cutting: Decent forward (like any other 6x6, maybe just a tad bit better) and pretty mediocre reverse, the Yuxin Red is better(!)
Lockups: Occurs from time to time, mostly on the second layer. Can cause pops when loose, but very easy to fix. The infamous big cube "nRw' U" lockup still happens, but does not result in a pop and again, very easy to fix (with the right tensions.)
Overall
This cube is good. Its stability and pop resistance will make it a very nice choice for a lot of cubers out there. Personally I still prefer my Yuxin Red over this, but I'm sure it'll be a lot of cubers' favourite 6x6.
It's good, but not my cup of tea.
P.S. I apologise if you have a hard time reading my review. This is my first written review I've ever done and I hope to get better at it in the future. Questions and criticism are very welcome in this thread, and thank you for spending time reading this!
