WTB Eastsheen or V-Cube 5x5 (Closed)

With in the next week I should be, according to TurboTax, be getting my income tax return. I've been looking around and though there are shops and Ebay with 5x5s for sale. Frankly the whole disassembly to lube scares the snot out of me. So I'm looking for someone who sells a good 5x5 that comes lubed and pretensioned. Unfortunately the only shop I know, Speedcubeshop, doesn't sell 5x5s. I don't mind spending a little extra to get that done, want it working good and will last a number of years of happy solving. :D

Umm... As for price. Oh, that's a hard one. (That's what she said, saying it before anyone else. >.< )

Ebay has Eastsheens starting at $13 + shipping, with a full set (2x2 4x4, and 5x5) starting at $27, while V-Cubes go for $25 on Ebay. Umm... So I'm going to say, for a slight mark up to account for lubing and pretensioning, oh, $15 to $30 USD plus shipping. That sounds reasonable.

For sure don't get the ES. I have one and the locking is the biggest problem.

After trying several V5 cubes and the copies from YJ the YJ feels better.

You can not adjust the tension on V5.

So, my suggestion is: YJ.

I really don't like my YJ. It's too locky. Apparently if you sand the long edge on the X centres this reduces but not completely.

@ peedu, do you really think that people will trust your opinion when you still have screw V in your avatar?

Right, and we've gotten off topic. I do thank you for your opinions and, really, I do appreciate them. Now, who has a V5 that's been lubed, sanded, tensioned, etc to that sweet running state that I'll enjoy for years to come that they're willing to sell? :D

Anyone? No? Well, I did do some research and found ICubeMart also does offer a lube and tension service with Lubix. But all they sell are Ghost Hand 5x5s, which is ironic as my main 3x3 is a Ghost Hand first gen. Only $12 too. *hmm* Guess I'll lower my standards and get the GH 5x5 then?

V-cubes have rivets inside and it is not possible to set the tension. V needs screws.

Doesn't mean someone could *mod* the core to use screws instead, if that is true. Which is apart of the 'etc' if that is necessary. :D

I've heard the V5 is amazing, but the next runner up I would say Ghost hand. It's a V Cube knock off I think, but it's really good and I like it tight because you can adjust it.

Ghost Hands are like $12 on cubedepot or icubemart
