TLDR No free time for people of the age category ~12-24
we have a lot of education to complete and insane working hours once we graduate.

You cannot compete fair and square if there are cubers in first world countries having the coursework easy and work life balanced.

Overall, I think India is on par with China and produce many Xuanyi Geng, if our work hours are reduced and higher education admission stress is removed.

Also cubing is an expensive sport nowadays, so many Indians prefer to save up that money for college rather than buying Gan15 and filling their rooms with overprized plastic.
