Sounds a bit odd, but sometimes I wipe down my cube and hands with a wipe and it leaves a little bit of a dry sticky residue that helps with grip.

Just use a towel to dry your hands and until end of the solve the don't have time to get sweaty again

its not that i sweat, its literally that my fingers are too smooth.

maybe your cube is too smooth. one time, i transferred from a stickerless RS3M (with frosted plastic) to a stickered one (with glossy stickers) and i immediately started getting about 3 to 4 second improvements (40 to 36 seconds). glossy plastic or stickers are the way to go.
