Will Asian Championship 2026 Be Aborted?

according to my social studies book it says that the middle east and even siberia is part of asia (which i don’t really believe)
I think my book is kinda bogus when it comes to that (“Asian-centric”, “Euro-centric”??? Nobody really seperates the two in this era😭💀)

anyway, back on topic

As much as I want the Philippines to be the country of the next Asian Championship, it probably won’t, because of the following reasons:
1. Organizer inexperience.
I’m not saying they’re incompetent, but it’s just that they don’t have much experience with a comp so huge. For reference, last year’s Philippine Championship only had about 150 competitors (well that was probably because of the registration fee), and the year before they had about 170 competitors. In both championships there were some problems (note that these are only what i could observe). The main issue was the schedule. They were about an hour behind on some events at times. But i believe that the time loss was mainly because of the lack of judges. The organizers were constantly calling out “We need more judges” at the venue, yet none of the competitors really went (aside from me of course, i judged 3BLD for the first time and it was kinda scary lol). They also could have saved some time if they put BLD and FMC in different rooms from the other like 13 events, so that they can do two events at the same time. Also the venue for spectators was also quite cramped, and it doesn’t really help that people block the way with their bags💀
2. Accessibility to major tourist spots
I read the Philippine championships bidding form (i assume it’s similar for Asians) so i know that accomodations and accessibility not just to the competition but to tourists spots are also considered. If you’ve ever seen any videos of the Philippines, you’d probably know that most of the highlights are the beaches, and other sea-related things. I know they have the Mall of Asia, which is already a tourist spot in itself (which would probably be expensive to use as a venue but it would be VERY convenient), but aside from that you have to travel like 30+ mins to get to other tourist spots like the Rizal Monument or other places, but since most competitions/championships are hosted on weekends, the traffic will turn that 30+ mins trip into a 1hr+ trip 99% of the time.

note: the most competitions the Philippines has ever had in history was 231 competitors at the Philippine Championship 2017, but those were completely different organizers

You thought i was done? NAH. I’m gonna yap even more about why the Philippines should be the next venue for Asians 2026!!!! but I’m don’t have time now so stay tuned for more of my yapping

I’ve had a similar issue—my science textbooks always claimed that the earth is a globe (which I don’t really believe)
I think my textbooks were kinda bogus when it comes to that (“truth-centric”, “actual science”??? Nobody really separates the two in this era 😭💀)
