Surprised this thread was not made yet, Asians is this weekend. Any predictions for any events?

Does anybody know why there were only 105 competitors at Asians 2022? Even I could have podiumed in some events there...

Location was very far from the most populated regions of Asia. It was in Astana in northern Kazakhstan. They had an incredible venue but so few competitors.

Because it already exists lol. https://www.speedsolving.com/threads/asian-championship-2024.92654/

Although I don't blame you for not noticing, the last post was in August.

Updates So Far:

4BLD: Kaijun Lin won, It was between Hill Pong and Kaijun but looking at Kaijun's profile his times are much more consistently fast so it makes sense he won.

5BLD: Hill Pong won by almost a minute, expected Kaijun DNF'ed tho

MBLD: 1/2 Attempts Done, Shivam Bansal has 36 points, solid lead. The only one who can likely beat him his Yucheng Chen but he needs to have a high success rate on the 2nd attempt.

FMC: 2/3 Attempts Done, Currently Yiwei Liu is winning but Wong Chen Wen needs a solid move count on the last scramble and needs to beat everyone else to win. (Really up to chance tho anything can happen)

7x7: Ziyu Wu NR avg, but anything can happen in Finals. 6 people got Sub-2 averages and Tymon is 9th 💀 You also needed a 2:21 average to make a top 20 finals 💀

If someone could do updates too that would be great since I'll be away for 8 hours.

7x7 is over and it's now 6x6. I'm actually surprised Nahm isn't first in 7x7. As for my own results, I choked the second solve and got a 3:18 mo3, was hoping to get PR, I got a sub 3 while practicing earlier.

I'm competing so I can try to do updates, so far the only thing new is Timofei Tarasenko NR 6x6 single and average.

Lim Hung, Kunal Oak and Tomohiro Kobayashi (小林知広) got NRs for their country. Currently Lim Hung is first followed by Tymon and Timofei. The results of many other people have not been uploaded yet. Right now, it is square-1. I don't have any more events so I'm preparing to go home now. I got PR single and average for 6x6 so I'm happy enough today.

2x2SkullMasterYT would approve of your use of skulls

So now it's 4x4 and I choked so bad.

I also almost lost my competitior wrist band which was scary, if you lose it you can't compete anymore. Thankfully I was able to find it back.

No new records so far.
