Hey guys,

I was just playing around with the google search, and i typed in my name and speedsolving "timothy ng speedsolving" and then it came up with my speedsolving account and qqtimer.

I don't know why qqtimer shows up, 2nd on the list.

Does anyone know why? It's kinda weird since i have used qqtimer before, and kinda creepy.

Thanks

Tim

The results make it clear than "tim" in "qqtimer" is being matched. That, in addition to the fact that you're a cuber on speedsolving.com and searching for the term "speedsolving". Not sure if the "ng" part does anything, though. Anyhow, note that this result is the speedsolving.com mirror, not qqtimer.net or mzrg.com .

But i double checked by searching Tim Major, and he's also a cuber. And it didn't show qqtimer. So it's not to do with my name.

It's always interesting to see what causes a search engine to find something. I noticed that if you type in "tim ngth speedsolving", qqtimer is the first result. My guess (which admittedly might be terribly wrong): qqtimer has the variable "length" all over the page source. Perhaps that's why searching for "ng" boosts it in the rankings - because it's part of the string "length".
