Why does my white Type D feel SO much better than my Black one?

Today an order arrived. In this order, among other things, i had a black Type D and a white one. I also had a few Type A cores. I put an A core in each of the Type D cubes, and they're both amazing now, but the white one is just SO much nicer. It's got more of a "clickety clack" feel to it, know what i mean?

I did everything the same in both mods, same lube, etc, but the White cube is just so much nicer. I don't want to use a white cube as my main cube, but i want the feel it has :(

Does it just boil down to luck when ordering Type D's?

BTW, Type D eats type A for breakfast.

Yeah, it's luck of the draw, the pieces of DIY cubes are not majorly precise so they vary. The two type (a)s I got a month ago aren't actually very good.

My Type A i got a few weeks ago is really nice, and the Type D's i got today are also great, but i almost feel sad when i pick up the white one because it's absolutely incredible.

In my most recent order I got a white D and a black D; the white one is by far the easiest turning cube I've ever tried, and this is without even replacing the core yet! However, it turns so easily that it's hard to keep it precise, and control over/under turning. I'm going to replace the core with type A, see how that goes.

My white Type Ds are pretty stiff >.< haha. The thing is, my lube, Jig A Loo, melts the plastic, making it softer, which I would think after a few lubing it'll just end up like the other type As o.O I have yet to lube the white one though, so I'll give that a try later.

The smell is annoying for me, especially mixed with my lube's smell it's just horrible. I should let it air out. I kind of understand what some people say "not cut corner well", but for me it's quite enough. I think this cube will be great ^.^

Hm... maybe I should have ordered a white one instead? also... perhaps I should order a type-A core? do they suck without the type-A core mod-a-muh-jigg?

Aside from better corner-cutting, are there any other reasons to replace the type D core with a type A one? Personally I think my type D cuts corners as well as my other cubes, if not better.

You arn't allowed to send chemicals like that because it might overheat and BOOM!

But i was going to order a black diy D soon because i like the look of them other then White ones. But now im thinking of getting 1 of each... But i really want my black one to be better..

Guess i need more points on rebel lol.

Dose a really good cube really depend on the luck of the draw? Cant you break down a cube enouph so that its just as good as any other cube?
