Who here owns the official Rubik's cube timer from the official website? It's like motion sensitive but I've only seen it once on youtube. Anyone have one?

I have one and I love it. It gives you scrambles for 3x3x3, 4x4x4, and 5x5x5, gives you inspection time, and keeps track of what you're averaging. It can store up to 250 solves. It's completely perfect for long trips. They are definitely expensive, but I have gotten a ton of use out of mine and am very satisfied with it.

By the way, the timer is actually light sensitive.

Do you think it's better than speedstacks? Well by your description of it, your probably do.

Is it worth the price? $100.....
Speedstacks like $20 I think?

I think for the money, Stackmats are definitely better. Stackmats are also great because they are what's used in competitions so it's good to practice on them. But if I'm going on a long trip I always bring my Rubik's timer. It's just really convenient to be able to take averages anywhere.

I do think that $100 is way too much for it though.

The stackmats are also much to expensive. After all, they are only very limited stopwatches (start, stop, reset is all, no pause/continue/laptimes). The only reason I like the stackmat timers are because they are the official devices.

This timer gives scrambles for different types of cubes, is portable, calculates averages and stores your times. It is expensive though.
