I was lucky recently to meet someone else who had learned to solve the cube.

Together we decided to learn techniques to speedcube. We share algorithms, finger tricks, and our latest accomplishments or things we learned.

On average twice per week we'll get together to hang out and cube.

Of course I usually cube alone (75% of the time), as I don't know anyone else who does cube.

So I was wondering who you cube with and how often do you get together? How much of your time is spent cubing alone as compared to with other cubers?

I am now living in norway (4 speedcubers and they are probably not in my city) so I am cubing alone... :S I think I could improve better if I were with other cubers.

I used to cube with Exo every day, but now I'm off at college. It's kinda lonely being the only one here. I'm trying to get some people interested but it's not looking too good. O well. If only Jason Baum was still here.

Yeah, the fad died at my school this year. I cube weekly with some newbies and one other speedcuber, but it's not much fun with the differences between our times.

I cube with a friend of mine but idk if he is really a speedcuber, he isn't near as addicted as I am and averages maybe around a minute. He doesn't seem too interested in learning new things either....
Also today I ran into a kid who averages around 30. Hopefully I can start cubing with him.
Mainly tho its just me my computer and my alg sheets.

i cube with the guy siting next to me in school.. he solves the cube in sub 50 sec i cant wait till he goes sube 30 then it will be more fun. My school is picking up speed cubing but they can solve it in 1-2 minutes i am in form 4 so the form 1 and 2 and 3 are learning it and even other schools :D so happy. i brought the cube 1st in my city here so now almost everybody here is starting. I started the cube thing here in this city hoping it will spread further. So far no one beat my time yet LOL!! wish their will be a competition here T.T

i cube mostly by myself when in home, but if i cube in school, which is quite often, most of the time ill inspire one of my speedcubing noobs friends and they pick up a spare cube and cube with me for fun (although most of the time it turns into an F2L tutoring session :D) - most of them range like in 1-3 minutes though so no real competition there. I wish there was some

I have a club at my school but most of the top cubers at my school share 2nd period, Econ AP with me(5/8 that's sub 40).

their times:
27ish, 3x 30ish, 2x 35ish, 2x barely sub 40, 4~5 40-50.

so i cube with ppl in school, not a lot though, just during breaks.

EDIT: btw, i avg around 20.

I usually cube with my father. The most amazing thing is that after about 8 months of learning he knows all PLL! By the way, has your father done an average of 100?

I live in a rather small country which, in relation to speedcubing, has both ups and down sides. Unfortunately we've only gathered a small group of 5-6 cubers, but on the plus side distances are small so we can get together easily.

Hopefully we will be able to host a Danish Open 2008, if we can get enough people from other countrys to show up...nudge nudge, wink wink...
