White powder in my QiYi Thunderclap?

So I recently just got back into speed cubing and I bought a QiYi Thunderclap because it was cheap and I had some spare money on me, but I've been using this for a couple of days now and I'm starting to see white powder/dust that is in my cube! I think it may be affecting my cube a little but I'm not totally sure. I have not lubricated it I have only tensioned it to my liking and I've never seen this before, so should I just clean it out or is there anything I should do to keep this from happening again?

Assuming it's a white cube, it's just plastic dust that scraps off of the cube. You can clean it out, but it's not a big deal.

It might also be factory lube; some of my cubes also had white powder in them after a while without tension or lubrication, and they do not have white plastic.
