I heard that those White DIY cubes turn smoother than normal cubes. Is this true?

Secondly, does it make a difference in time, and are they worth buying? Or should I just keep modding and lubing my normal cube?

Thirdly, I know there is an issue with pieces popping, would this be a major interference?

Sorry for the question bombardment, im just really curious.

1. yes DIY's are MUCH better, at least from my experience
2. It makes quite a big difference. In 1 week of using one I went from ~25sec -> ~22 sec. 3 sec better times when you are already so low, thats quite a major improvement
3. You can adjust tensions on the DIY's. So if you adjust it properly, you won't get any pops. I rarely ever get pops. If you get them, you just make the cube a little tighter and it will go away, its not a big deal.

you can get them from either rubik's website, or from www.cube4you.com
oh and btw: its not only white DIY's, they have black DIY's and all kinds of colors as well :)

Itès all about preference. Usually DIY is good to go type, but a really nicely worn out store cube can be even better (ask Nakajima about it...). DIY and store cube don't really have the same feeling
