i've felt it new out of the box and i have to admit that it will need quite a bit of lube and breaking in. I'd advise to get the shengshou 4x4 vIII (a better cube and it's also half the cost) or an x-cube if you could afford it.

A lot of people say it isn't that good compared to the original, although I can't see why (I don't have one, but why should the size make a difference). Instead, I reccommend waiting for the antipop Dayan 4x4 to be released, then get one.

The springs in the center pieces are the same size as the bigger one. It causes the outer layers to be too tight.
I know this because I took the springs out of every center and the cube became too loose on the outer layers.
Unfortunately I couldn't get the springs back in.
