Where to buy CRC silicone

You'd be better off to pick it up at Walmart or Target, or any automotive supply store. The United States Post Office has pretty stringent regulations about mailing hazardous materials - thus making it virtually impossible to put it in a box and send it to you.

That's exactly my question. We are obviously looking for online site to buy CRC Heavy Duty Silicone with reason. We do not live in USA!
Any online store in Europe would come in handy.

Ok - I should have considered that you weren't in the United States. Sorry.

Why don't you contact CRC Industries Europe, and find out where you can purchase their products locally? They have manufacturing plants in Zele, Belgium and Bridgwater, UK. According to their website they have 6 fully owned subsidiaries in Europe (Finland, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom) and cover all other European countries through national distributors.

Good luck - I hope this answer was more helpful than the last.

It just so happens that I will end up in West Lafayette (near to Chicago) in a few weeks for some other reason - so there is a chance for me to buy it myself. Ok, I found 3 Walmarts there, I will not have time to try all of them, so please take a look and tell me in which of these three I could find CRC Heavy Duty Silicone.
nearest Wal-mart
2nd nearest
3rd nearest

I noticed all of the thee have Tire & Lube service and I hope CRC Heavy Duty Silicone is to be found there. Can anyone confirm this? Or I was looking in completely wrong direction (i.e. car service??)?

Leden, where are you located? Will you be traveling to the United States by airplane? If so, I assume you would be flying home?

Finding CRC silicone won't be a problem at all. Transporting it back home will. You might want to read this:

http://www.tsa.gov/assets/pdf/prohibited_and_permitted_items_10-24-07.pdf

It's a brochure from the Transportation Security Administration (the US government agency that regulates airport security) which lists permitted and prohibited items for both carry-on and checked baggage for air travel. You will notice that aerosols are banned in both carry-on and checked baggage with a couple of exceptions. If you can convince an airport security officer that you need the CRC silicone for medical reasons, you might stand a chance. Otherwise, it will need to be in a 3 oz or smaller container, which you may include with your toiletries as per to the following rules:

1. All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in three-ounce or smaller containers. Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are not allowed. Each container must be three ounces or smaller.

2. All liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in a single, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag. Gallon size bags or bags that are not zip-top such as fold-over sandwich bags are not allowed. Each traveler can use only one, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag.

3. Each traveler must remove their quart-sized plastic, zip-top bag from their carry-on and place it in a bin or on the conveyor belt for X-ray screening. X-raying separately will allow TSA security officers to more easily examine the declared items.

Just so you know, a 3 oz. aerosol container is not much bigger than a cigarette lighter, and I don't think CRC silicone is available in such a small size.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Ouch, I almost forgot that...
I'll put one can in my checked baggage, near the toiletries, and hope they don't freak out and confiscate it.

How about sending it through the post via USPS?
I live in Croatia, Europe.

Unfortunately, you can't send it through the mail. Otherwise I'd have asked for a mailing address and sent you a can.

It may be possible to send via an international freight company that specializes in hazardous materials, but the prices would be exorbitant.

Did you try the CRC Industries - Europe website? You should be looking at lubricants under automotive supplies.

Good luck trying to get it through airport security - you might succeed. At worst, they'll just confiscate the can. I've had a few really funny experiences with airport security recently, but I've made up my mind to follow every rule and regulation to a "T" - I'm tired of getting stopped.

If it gets confiscated, then I will try to get CRC Silicone through a friend of mine in Austria.
I found on CRC Industries Europe the following product:
CRC Silicone.
I hope the contents is the same and the only difference is in name (as I read here).

It seems I managed to transfer 2 cans of CRC Heavy Duty Silicone and 1 can of Ace Pure Silicone from the U.S..
I also tried both on 2 identical store bought cubes and didn't see much difference (except CRC dried up faster). Now I don't which I'm gonna apply on my Chinese DIY (which arrived the other day).
Which is better, CRC or Ace?
