What's the difference?

Regular F2L: just insert the last corner and edge together
Intuitive edge control: insert the last corner and edge together while trying to orient as many edges as possible
VH: connect the last corner and edge, orient all edges while inserting the connected pair
ZBF2L: orient all edges while doing the last pair with LOTS of algs

While you are at it, also research:
MGLS: split last pair + OLL in 2 steps: Orient LL edges while placing the edge, Orient LL corners while placing the corner
Petrus: Orient edges after doing 3 pieces of the cross and 2 pairs (2x2x3 block), finish F2L with only RU turns
ZZ, EOLine: Orient edges very early in the solve (don't know the exact details because I never tried)

Regarding ZZ - Orient all edges while forming a line on F and B. use F/B to gather bad edges and orient. Simple EOLine would be to orient all edges (using what i mentioned earlier, or a 3OP alg if you're rubbish :p), then use F2/B2 to place Line.
