what's the best Rubik's cube method that can turn the big 3 into big 4

which method is the most valuable to be in the big 4

attention everyone who cares who listen, you can now vote for two methods now 😀

fun fact the Mehta method actually has some world class potential

Petrus, CFOP and Roux used to be the Big 3. Now it's ZZ, CFOP and Roux with Petrus as a clear second stage.
What happened was the realisation that Petrus has Blockbuilding at the start and EO at the middle.
EO is incredibly useful, but takes some seconds to recognise, while blockbuilding will get very efficient in the middle if lookahead is on par.
If you go the traditional Left Block, Right Block Route of ZZ, that is what separates Petrus and ZZ. EOCross of course is a different beast, but whatever.

Mehta has the Properties of CFOP's userbase most beloved things. Algorithmic steps, fast to recognise cases, a lot of moves, high TPS needed for good times.
Why it didn't stick ever needs to be explained by someone who actually tried it, but it falls into the pitfall of additional algorithns making you faster instead of practise and dumbing down the algorithnic steps for less cases but more pauses.
The fact that the only vote marrs got is an account about as new as yours is ironic.

Typical poll of many methods with actual potential being left out. There are methods that belong in the poll and methods currently in the poll that clearly aren't quite as competitive with the popular methods.

The "Big 4" is just a popularity contest anyway and doesn't really mean anything. It is barely a measurement of speedsolving capability. There is quite a large list of methods that have around the same potential.

Petrus variant. (Confirmed by APB users; the only reason APB is not explicitly referred to as a Petrus variant is because of its negative connotation.)
However, Mehta is in the poll. So if that one is separated out and included, then so should other methods. Which goes back to my point that it is a poll that is missing quality methods and including methods that shouldn't be there. There isn't any research behind the inclusions. It is just the methods they know exist.

It used to be big 4 with petrus. Not much has changed and no new method since is proven to be better, so as much as I think it isn’t comparable to the big 3, I think that’s what I’ll go for

They added their own method that has been proposed 2 days earlier and has no known user up there with Mehta - which has at least a recorded sub 8 solve and Petrus, the method that used to be where ZZ is now and currently is what ZZ used to be - the Top 4.
