But what do you mean by it taking too many recognition steps? Getting it down to just having the tripod left should take 4 (2x2x2, 2x2x3, F2L-1, last square). You could take 3 looks for the tripod and still have no more looks than CFOP.

You see though, it is more looks than EFOP with the EOCross, 2 look F2l multislotting wonderfulness with limited algorithms and no intuition because of its complicatedness, OLL, and PLL

In cfop you just finish f2l and then you turn into a robot with massive tps. All these other methods have too much intuition xD

I concur. Intuitive methods can be hella fast. BigGreen's LSE proves this.

(I'm a bit envious of it actually, being a Roux solver... with my LSE being around 3-4 sec)
