What does 2 gen mean?

Here's a tip : Try using the "One Answer Question Thread" for small things like this.

2-gen means an alg using only 2 ..... umm..... sides or faces to turn.

An example is R2 U2 R U2 R2 U2 R2 U2 R U2 R2. That is a 2-gen <R,U> alg.

It can mean different things, but generally speaking, it means an algorithm only involves turning 2 faces. Ex: RUR'U' or LULU'LUL'
