The pillowed 4x4 isn't awful... it's just not quite up to par with something like, say an Aosu. But it's actually surprisingly good right out of the box. As others have said, it's definitely better than the cubic one.

IMO, Pillowed V-Cube 4 (before modding) turns like a rubik's brand filled with wet sawdust and glue.

It was my first 4x4. Not a bad cube, and the pillowed feels much better than a pillowed 3x3 or 2x2.

I still like mine, but might be selling it soon.
