Weird old puzzle: Octagon Barrel

I found this old puzzle that my dad used to have, it's a Octagon Barrel, but it's 37mm x 37mm
It has a wrong colour scheme and the stickers are vinyl quality, it's very tight but it can kinda cut corners.
This puzzle was bought by him in the 80s, so it seems factory made.

And it's so weird, as I didn't know they made very small Octagon Barrels 20 years ago..

Any help on what this puzzle might be? And what company?

The where quite common in the 80's , most of them where made by Wonderfull Puzzler
But there is even one in of the Rubik's brand (made in Spain)
