Ways to enlarge the cubing community

[qwertycuber]

If you have any ideas to enlarge the cubing community, you can post it here. I want cubing to be a internationally recognized sport/hobby like chess, so people would understand more about us cubers. Please post any ideas that any of us can do to enlarge the cubing community, and help get cubing recognized.

The easiest way is to teach a friend.

[AirbusCube]

We can use airborne leaflet propaganda. The allies did that during world war 2. They used bombing aircrafts to drop leaflets over german cities telling Hitler is bad, but we drop cubes and guides how to solve cubes

Target cities can be New York and London

Start a cubing club in your school.

Well in asia there is a sushi bar where you get discounts based on your league of legends rank, so why not something similar with cubing?

[DGCubes]

Cube in public areas (city streets, boardwalks, parks, etc.) and tell people where they can learn when they express interest. Maybe have GuanLongs to sell to people who seem like they want to learn.

^ What Daniel and the others said. Maybe try to teach 1 person in the next 2 months, or 1 in the next month and carry that on. The budget 3x3 selling idea is great.

AirbusCube is right. We need propaganda. Target major cities around the world and spread the cuber agenda.
Seriously though, I have found that cubing at school a lot causes a few people to learn.

That reminds me of last year: I was the first person in the school to bring a Rubik's cube to school, and by the next month, Rubik's cubes were the next big thing, and about a quarter of my grade, (not anymore because I just graduated) could solve a cube.

When I first read the words "quarter of my grade" I thought that cubing skills would make your C+ a B... lol
