(Unofficial) Thomas Itemere's 0.45 2x2 Single.

but it wasn't fake!
See it as a compliment that people say it's fake, because they only say it because it's fast lol
I don't think it was fake, either you just got a really fast execution, or you didn't use stackmat, or you did but accidentally had an illegal timer stop without realizing (in which case you technically didn't get 0.45 but that doesn't make you a cheater)

Whether it is fake or not doesn't matter really, firstly because it's 2x2 single (lol), but also because you know if it was fake or not, and regardless of what people think, that doesn't change the truth. If it's real, just ignore people who say it's fake. If it's fake, you know what to do.

yeah i dont use stackmat i used the qiyi timer

Hello!

Today I got a 0.45 2x2 single. (I'm Thomas Itemere) And I was so happy!!!! It was a 5 mover.

Scramble: F' R' U' R' F2 R2 F2 R2 F'
Solution:
y U R U R' U'
Sorry there is no video I usually dont film cubing. :(
Ok, so I decided to do some math on this because I'm a math nerd.

(Assuming you use Ortega)
Making 5 turns in 0.45 seconds means you did 5/0.45=11.1 tps(ignoring pickup and drop times). According to the speedsolving.com wiki, the average number of turns for Ortega is around 20. You said you averaged 6 seconds, and I would assume that for you OLL and PBL recognition combined takes about 1.5 seconds. That gives 4.5 seconds of actual turning time, which means your tps during normal solves is about 20/4.5=4.4.
Now, getting 4.4 tps for normal algs while getting 11 for this solve is pretty unlikely, especially considering I ignored the pickup and drop times, which would make the tps requirement even higher.

I'm not saying you 100% cheated. As Jorian Meeuse pointed out, It's possible that you did an illegal timer start or stop, but even in that case, it's pretty unlikely that this time is legit.

everyone has gotten a lucky 2x2 single, so idk why yall are trying to scrutinize it so closely 😂

also the lower tps could be because of pauses

A 0.45 on a 5 mover is definitely possible. @Soldier, is there any events that you have more experience in other than 2x2? Maybe in those events you have high TPS and the reason your sub-6 Ortega is because you are unfamiliar with the recognition, but make up for it in TPS. Otherwise, you probably a faulty timer start/stop.

If he does 10 tps normally, that would mean that 2/3 of his solve time is pauses, which is pretty unlikely.
