U2Y or Ud?

This is happening very often in my solve at the F2l part. I have to choose U2 and then take a cuberotation or U and a d. Which one is faster?

i do a U2 usually but i have seen that nakajima sometimes does Ud. Not sure about harris though. i sometimes do it without thinking and it can work well but usually i try to avoid it.
