Type A naming system help

On a cube site, how can i tell if a type a is an old or new type a? It'll just say Type A-I.

Hehe, welcome to speedcubing.

There's a lot of different type A cubes; AI, AII, AIII('old', iirc. Someone correct or confirm this), AIIIf('new', iirc), AIV, AV and I'm probably missing a few.

As of right now, AV is the most popular type A cube(aka Alpha cubes sometimes).

Yea, if you want a type A cube I would recommend a type A IIIf or AV, the AIs are good but they're outdated. My first speedcube tho,

IMO the order of alpha cube is as follows:
AV(memory mod)
A2
A3f
A5f
