Turning your Rubik's Storebought onto a DIY(Help)

(I hope this is the right place for this thread..)

anyway,i came across Pestvic's vid on turning a Storebought cube into a DIY.
BUT,i was wondering what if i only did the second part of the vid,as in only remove the center caps and change the springs(oh and will changing the rivets with screws mae a difference?)

Just like to ask this before i screw up my cube.XD

I'm not sure what you define as 'part 2' but I can tell you this:

You can't change the springs without replacing the rivets with screws as well. You'll need to saw trough the rivets to put in new springs.

Keep the springs.
Theyre actually decent.

I did this without watching pestvics video.
C4y Springs will not fit properly, because of their shape.
Type A springs arent good, because of their tension, the springs which come with them cube originally will suffice.
