trouble with Roux

sorry if there are already threads on this, but there are no new hot threads for this topic.

i can do the 1x2x3 blocks fine, just need some practice, and the corner orientation stuff I can do. but the edge orientation confuses me, and all of the sites, videos, etc i found were not detailed enough. I find the roux method very fun, but I can't solve the cube with it, as the edge orientation is frustrating.

something else I need to know is when it is an edge bad and when is it good (I need a more detailed explaination), and when the edges are oriented.
if anyone can help, i will be very pleased.

At the last part after the 2x(1x2x3) blocks?
If it has your D color of the blocks (3 across, on the bottom...) on the top, it's a good edge and doesn't need to be flipped, if it has it around the top/bottom, than it's bad.
it's basically ZZ simplified to 4 edges, so you can look up the method for ZZEO and steal the rules XD

but how do you flip it, and when do you know when all edges are good?

Keep the center on top be either the U or D center. any edge on around that center that is NOT that color or the opposite color is bad. same goes with the center on D.

Adjust the U or rotate the cube to fit these cases

if the bad edges are:
1) UL/UR/DF/DB
2)UL/UR/UF/UB
then do M'U2M'
this is will go into another case

if the bad edges are:
1)UL/UB/DF/DB
then do M2
this is will go into another case

if the bad edges are:
1)UF/DB
2)UF/UB
3)DF/DB
4)UL/UR/UF/DF***
5)all six are wrong
then do M'UM'
keep looking for the case after you do the moves. until you reach the one with the ***. after doing the move all edges will be oriented
I'm surprised Waffle didn't come to the rescue like he normally does.
DONE! :D

Whoa....oh yeah, you know your avatar from before? How did you have it animated? The cape flap?

i just found it on the web :D

so you have to keep doing the "algs" until you get to UL/UR/UF/DF? then do the M'UM'?
and what about the next part? part 4b) (as said on gilles' website)?

Yup
and 4b.
Try to put one of the Pieces that go on UL/UR on DF or DB using only U turns and M2 moves. If on the piece is on DB place the other piece on UF. If on DF then place the other piece on UB. then do M' U2 M'. Then place both pieces on D using M2 (if you have to), adjust the U face then do M2 to place it into the correct position.

thank you Waffle, i get it but i just need to practice because I am extremely slow!
is there such thing as a 2-look corner orientation? like in the petrus, you do RU'L'UR'U'L to switch the corners on the left, so i was wondering if you can do that, then flip the corners with a sune/anti-sune alg? (kind of a 2-look) or do i have to memorize all/most corner orientation algs?
