I currently use intuuitive F2L and I have only one problem with it so far. It takes a long time for me to get the first pair while all the other pairs follow quickly afterwards. How do I pick the first F2L pair?

... that's kinda weird :)
I always pick a corner and find it's edge. If I don't see it in first 0.5 seconds then I try a different corner, and that usually works. You can also try finding edges and then their corners, but i would argue that's worse because a corner can be inserted in wrong place with the white sticker on the white face, so it's incredibly hard to recognize that, and you have to actually rotate a cube to make sure if the sticker of that corner on bottom is yellow or white. Edges are a little easier to find due to that.

I do the same...
But if I find an edge in the U layer, then I try to pair it up with a corner in the D layer.

There are a lot of tricks that you can use, just make sure you can make a pair with out changing the orientation of the corner then you are fine.

lol, I know I'm just trying to get my posts up above 30

Don't do that, as it destroys the purpose of these forums. I know you want to get your posts to 30, but if a topic has already been finished, don't continue it. It's no use as there are other new topics that need more attention. So don't try to do that again (your are sort of like spamming - no offense), and don't reply to this post.

Hey don't be mean to the person. Everyone should be welcome to the forum, as long as they don't CONTINUOUSLY do something wrong. I wanted to get my posts up a lot when I first came here, and I have to admit I did make some junky posts. But I don't do it anymore (at least I think I don't) so... I hope noobcuber will learn his lesson.

Only silly inconsiderate people are concerned with their post count. They want to elevate their own imaginary status rather than contribute to meaningful, relevant discussion in the forums without realizing that being a senior member doesn't mean they get more respect in the community, especially if they got there making stupid pointless posts.

Yu Nakajima, as of the time of this post, has only 10 posts.
That's pretty awesome, IMO.

You average 8 posts a day, over 300 in nearly 2 months. I hope you learn a lesson as well.
