I've been thinking about getting tiles from Cube Smith, but before I got them I wanted to get your opinions. Another question, are they actual tiles or just thick stickers, because .010" doesn't sound very tile like.
I've tried some cubes from other cubers with textured tiles and I must say that it feels like water, very slippery. I haven't tried the normal ones yet so I can't say which are better.

No problem, I just remembered we had a topic on this before and thought I would point you to it. Google is a mighty search-engine, but not extremely well suited to search a forum. Maybe PJK can fix the internal search?
I will look into it. Last I heard the search was down for invisionfree. I am thinking about moving this to a vB forum soon... but might let it grow a little more. Plus I want to find out if I can transfer posts over (Arnaud, you know how this would be possible? PM me please if so).
well I got CubeSmith normal tiles on one of my cubes. and I like them. you dont have the same grip as with sticker.. but they last at least 10 times longer.. or more
they are not so good for speedcubing, but they will do. ( I did my fastest time with it, heh)
I'd say go for normal stickers if you are up to speed (I bet you are )
and go for cubesmith stickers
I have been using tiles for quite some months now, and I don`t really feel alot of difference with regular stickers. I have the textured tiles but the texture isn`t that much noticable, but the cube itself looks great now. I made some before and after pictures, it`s just amazing (I placed the tiles on a 25th anniversary cube so the difference is quite obvious)
