Three Edge Cycle

I'm not sure if this is new, but I was just playing around on my key chain cube and a discovered this alg for a three edge cycle:

R U Ri U Ri Ui R2 Ui Ri U Ri U Ri


It's 2-Gen, and can be executed pretty quickly (my fastest is 1.47, but I'm slow).


Another fun one I've found is:

R Ui Ri U2 R U2 Ri U2 R U2 Ri U2 R U2 Ri U2 R U2 Ri U2 R Ui Ri

Nice job, but you should probably learn some standard things:

R U Ri U Ri Ui R2 Ui Ri U Ri U Ri

First: Don't use Ri anymore. It's R' if you talk to anyone who knows what they're doing, and hey... that could be you!

Anyhow, the algs Edward posted are more useful in practice.
However, your alg, although many people already know it, is useful because it keeps the centers in the same orientations. It also works on certain bandaged puzzles and even the Megaminx.

Just use repetition parentheses:
R U' (R' U2 R U2)4 R' U2 R U' R'

It's als faster to do the alg on the side, using R2 moves:
z U R' (U' R2 U R2)4 U' R2 U R' U' z'
