Yeah, its 2-gen nature makes it really quick to downsolve and it feels really good since it's so fluid after 2nd pair, but the cross makes it a bit more difficult to get super quick times with it.

Yeah, but it's basically just U y' and I do both in solves but d is just simpler to write out most times.

Nice! I was able to get it down to 2.96 after a few dozen attempts and switching up the starting angle to eliminate the first rotation. It's so much easier to get quick times without having to do the first rotation/ wide d, so my downsolve solution is this if you wanna try.
