R' F R' B2 R F' R' B2 R2

This has to be pretty bad, I learned it 10 years ago when I first learned how to solve the cube. It may just be the way I do it but the gripping just feels awkward.

That is one of the best PLLs actually. A better way to execute it is to do an x rotation and do R' U R' D2 R U' R' D2 R2

When I started cubing, I learned PLL from the same person I had learned beginner's method from. Those are some of the algs I used:

Ga: L2 u L' U L' U' L u' L2 B' U B
E: x U R' U' L U R U' r2 U' R U L U' R' U (still use a variant of this for OH)
Nb: F' U' F L' U' L F L' U' L U L F' L2 U L U F' U F
V: R' U R' U' x2 y' R' U R' U' R2 x' U' R' U R U

Those are really bad algs, I don't know why they would teach you those.

The focus was probably on movecount and <RU(L)>-gen turning since the video is a few years old (which it already was when I started cubing). Looking back at the tutorial, I probably came up with the Nb perm myself (probably got the idea to conjugate a J perm from some other video and thought my setup move would be better, which is obviously not the case) and didn't rotate for the G perm because I thought that rotations were really bad (which they are not).

An alg I made up that does an H perm on U and D:
R2 (U D') R2 (U' D) R2 (U2 D2) R2 (U' D) R2 (U D') R2

There's no reason to use that instead of M2 U2 M2 y M2 U2 M2
