I don't usually fail at reconstructing my own solves, but this one's got me stumped. I know I started with

L F' D L F D R' D B' for xcross (maaaaybe L F' D L F D R D' L F L' D2 but I seriously doubt it because that's incredibly stupid)

and it ended with either fat sune or antisune (I can't keep them straight, the one that's a square on top) and a PLL skip.

So I was doing some casual solves where my goal was efficiency, and I think I did one of my most interesting solves ever.

Scramble- L2 U F2 D' U2 B2 U2 F2 L' U' B' F2 R2 B' L' R2 D' U2

Cross- y2 U2 F2 U2 L R2

Cross explanation- I preserved 2 corners so that I could pseudoslot later, turns out there was an easy xcross but oh well.

1st Pair- u2 R2 U2 R2 U2 R2

2nd Pair- y R2 U2 R2 U2 R2

1st 2 pairs explanation- I knew how to swap 2 pieces in the middle layer with R2 U2 R2 U2 R2, and realised I could use this to solve both pairs.

3rd Pair + 4th Pair- y R' U' R2 U2 R' U2 R U2 R' U2 R U' R'

Last 2 pairs explanation- Pretty standard with cancellation.

OLL Cross- y' F U R U' R' F'

OLL Cross Explanation- Yes I use 2 look OLL. I only did a rotation since I was going for low movecount.

COLL with commutator- y' x' R U R' D R U' R' D' or [R U R', D] in commutator notation I think.

COLL explanation- I did COLL with my very own commutator. I'm so proud of myself.

PLL- x R2 U' S' U2 S U' R2 U

PLL Explanation- At this point I realised how strange the solve was and figured I might as well do <R, U, S> U perm.

50 moves so low for me(excluding rotations).

Hello y’all! Reviving this thread because I like reconstructing solves. I’ve reconstructed one of Timofei Tarasenko’s older ao5’s from February, at the finals of Central Asian Tour-Astana. I want to do at least one of these every couple of days, as some people (like Timofei) don’t have many reconstructions/solve analysis available online. Without further ado, I hope yall can find something to learn from these solves!
