Honestly what works best for me is to take a cheap keychain 3x3 and treat it as fully bandaged. It is literally the smoothest 1x1 in existence! Much cheaper AND better than all your expensive 1x1's, but I don't think it is competition legal, unfortunately. I timed it once now, but I forgot that a stackmat only goes to 10 minutes so I don't know the time now...

get the maglev conversion kit also, it makes it really smooth

i just finished learning CFCES (Cross, F2L, CLL, ELL SKIP) and i got a sub 1 hour solve! overall pb!

Does anyone know how to get sub 10 minute times? I'm pretty sure the top 1x1 solvers use the method CFOPS which stands for CFOP skip. I do full step on the 1x1 with cross skip, then I do f2l skip, then oll skip, then pll skip

Ugh, I'm having trouble lubing my 1x1. I'm doing it correctly, but it just leaks and doesn't get any faster.

Tip: take it apart, lube the core, put it back together with one piece out, finish lubing, wait a little while, then put the piece in.

Update: I cut it in half to access the core, and now my cube is broken.
