That's extremely unsetttling. I hope the victim and her family are able to get justice to the fullest extent for these terrible crimes, and that they can find healing and peace after this.

There are people like this in plain sight whom you may not expect this behavior from. This serves as a reminder to protect yourself first, and even if someone seems super nice and chill, trust your instincts and know you don't have to do anything that makes you uncomfortable. You don't need to worry about an abuser getting in trouble over your own safety. If something feels wrong or you know it's wrong, you can and should report it to adults you trust and/or law enforcement.
