Having exhausted myself with CFOP (getting bored of learning all those algorithms, and needing a little break from it), I thought I would try learning Roux. So, after eventually finding a guide that I could actually understand, I learned it.

It is a very elegant and efficient system. I think that if I practice to the same extent I did with CFOP, this will be my main solving method, and I@ll be faster at it.

The most difficult part was block-building. It's not that blocks are difficult, it's just that CFOP interferes with it, but once I managed to break free of the CFOP way of thinking then block building became much simpler... and fun.

There is something very satisfying about completing the solve with only M and U moves rather than relying on algorithms.

Thank you Gilles Roux for such a great method!

I know some people learn 40+ algs for orienting the corners, but then in CFOP you have some people who learn all those algs for F2L...

To help me block build I did initially build a white line (blue-white --- white --- white-green) as a guide. But now that I am used to bock building, I can do way with that. I love the way blocks just fall into place; it a bit like Tetris!

Oh hey, you don't really learn most of algs of F2L, it's intuitive. OLL/PLL is the problem there.
