take appart a rubiks core

i have a problem with my brought rubiks core

theres a bit of plastic stuck in there from when it was taken out of the mold presumably and i cant get sand paper in there to sand it out,

how can i take the cubies off the core without damaging the springs?

Is it a DIY or a Storebought?

If its a DIY take off the center caps and unscrew it (I guess its a DIY cause you talked about screws?)

Otherwise you could take a sharp knife and try to cut the plastic a bit down, but be careful!!

I doubt you can take the center pieces out on a store bought without breaking the spring.

They do, along with rivets.

They sure sound like they do, with how noisy they are when turned. I can hear the spring in mine.

A store brought cube doesn't have screws, it has some kind of nails.
