Well... I've been working on Ortega for 2x2 for the past week and my current average is between 6 and 12 seconds. I plan on learning CLL but am not sure if I should. I already have several sources bookmarked for when I learn, but I was wondering if I should wait until I'm faster at Ortega first (no matter what, I will eventually learn CLL... this is just question of when).

Any Advice ???

Thanks in advance for the help!!!

If you want to learn CLL, go for it ! I was averaging 8 seconds with LBL, then I learnt CLL and a month later I was averaging 5 seconds (4.88 in competition only 2 weeks after having finished to learn all the algs). CLL is really fun and not that difficult to learn (2 algs per day is fine).

Thank you guys so much... I also feel that a big part of my time issue is my cube... I use a ghosthand that isn't even lubed (I was waiting for the Dayan 2x2 to come out and see some reviews before I committed to a Wit II)

Is it usual to use both methods or "always" build a layer when you know CLL? Because as I only know some CLL cases, I would normally solve with Ortega and only use CLL when the first side is a layer.
