Sweaty Hands...

I wash my hands right before a solve. It helps a bit. Also, don't freak out or get nervous, just chill.

The tiles on the competition cube are very bad. I find lookahead difficult and they are slippery. I replaced mine with cubesmith textured tiles and find them much better. Plus those tiles aren't competition legal because puzzles have to have a logo (at least I'm informed so)

Cubes without logo's are 100% competition legal.

Really? I must remember that :D

EDIT: No, you're wrong. From the regulations, "3l) Cube puzzles must have at most one logo. For Rubik's Cube or bigger cube puzzles the logo must be placed on one of the centre pieces."

That just means you can have up to one logo per puzzle, and if you do have one, it has to be on a center.
