Ive been seeing alot of videos on youtube showing how great their sudoku cubes are. I recently bought one at a local KMart and its crap. Other people seem to be getting ones comparable (or exactly like) to the DianSheng (E) DIYs. Mine had no center caps... just holes under the stickers. Its the worst cube Ive ever had. Anyone have the same experience?

The first sudoku cube I bought was the same at not even worth my time opening the package.

At walmart, I found a much better cube. I loosened the screws, lubed, and put normal stickers on and the cube is now the best one I have in my collection. (I have since bought the other 7 they had at the store). I finally found the source, but they are about $5 more expensive than the ones at Walmart :(
Several of them have different colored cores, but I can't tell the difference when using them.

Yeah some sudoku cubes are really bad. There don't even have screws/rivets are whatever. They have like a spindle structure and turns bad. On two different cubes I tried to pop and edge piece out, I did it very carefully, and then the edge piece broke. And then the other internal pieces kept on cracking and the plastic would just come off. :(

And some of the cube that you get at Walmart are the Type E (DianSheng) DIYs. They turn great compared to other sudoku cubes, even other speedcubes. They are the ones Kiel0 pointed out, they look like this:

On mine, one of the stickers was the wrong color. I contacted the company multiple times, but they did not answer. Eventually, I completely un-stickered and sanded the pieces so that they were more round. I adjusted the screws until it fit my liking. I replaced it with cubesmith stickers. Occasionally, I lift up a sticker and adjust the tension.
