Substep Competition

Me and sneaklyfox have decided to merge the existing F2L and LL competitions to create this new Substep Competition. Basically, there are 5 substeps (these are: F2L, LL, F2B, L10P (CMLL and LSE) and LLEO (Last Layer with Edges Oriented)), and there are 2H and OH categories for each of them. Here are the rules:

1. The WCA regulations are used, unless stated.
2. The scrambles that are given will be used.
3. The scrambles are generated by the following scramblers on qqtimer:
   
   • F2L and F2B: 3x3x3 > random state
   • LL: 3x3x3 subsets > last layer
   • L10P: 3x3x3 subsets > CMLL+LSE
   • LLEO: 3x3x3 subsets > ZBLL
4. For F2L and F2B, scramble using white on U and green on F; for LL and LLEO, have your LL colour on U; and for L10P, scramble using your top layer colour on D and block colours on L and R.
5. A 15 second inspection time may be used for all categories.
6. For 2H, you must do an Average of 12.
7. For OH, you can choose to do an Average of 5 OR 12. If you choose to do an Ao5, you must do the first 5 scrambles.
8. Please state the round number, category, average and times in your post.
9. A new round will start every Saturday, in this thread at around 19:00 GMT.
10. You can do as many categories as you want to.
11. If you intend to compete in multiple categories after your post, please note this in your post.

Wow, sounds like a great idea. I don't know if people know it but I was the original first creator of substep competitions here on the forums. I created the F2L competition on December 31st 2011 and then after about 15 Rounds if I remember correctly ThomasJE took over because I wasn't able to post the scrambles and the results anymore since I was to busy. And then he also created the LL competition and so came all the other substep competitions. anyway, it's great that you've decided to merge all of this into one thread. I think it will be much more organised and much better.

P.S. Try to promote this as much as you can. I remember when I first started my F2L competition everybody loved it and in the first month or two we had around 30 active members in the competition each round and over time it lost it's popularity. I would really like it to be that popular again. So please do your best. I think this Substep Competition could really become something big.
