Hi Everyone

I've just reached sub 20 and I want to get sub 15
My global average is about 15-19 Seconds
I tried learning cross +1 but It is very hard since I feel like tracking a lot of pieces in my head

Can someone please give me tips for my Cross +1 and look ahead and just sub-15 in general?

Thanks!

On that speed you dont really need to look at cross+1 yet. I practising first pair at 12s. You should focus on lookahead. Do slow solves and look away from the thing you're doing. And have muscle memory for every f2l case. Trust me, slow solves is how I got sub -15. But if you do want to plan pairs. I'd recommend going to cstimer, click 3x3 (not wca 3x3) choose easy cross and then select 3-4 moves. Start planning pairs on 3-4 move crosses and then once you get good at that go to 4, 5 and so on. I am currently on 6 moves and it works very good this tactic. Also learn full pll. And maybe predict auf for pll.

Cross+1 is not necessary until Sub-12. I have a 10 second official avg without Cross+1.
Only start lookahead when you know Full OLL and PLL and you know Advanced F2L with muscle memory.

I do know some OLL (about 26 Left) I don't know some of the Cactus Shapes, I, Knight Move Shapes and dot cases. Should I do look ahead?

I would focus on efficient lookahead rather than learning full OLL, as you can theoretically can get sub-10 without it.
Maybe, but the more solves you do without Full OLL makes it harder to learn Full OLL and learning it saves around 1 second, and it is much easier to improve by learning 50 short algs for 1 second rather than doing hundreds or even thousands of solved to get 1 second of better lookahead.

That's also true. I guess it's up to what he/she decides is best.

First, you need to finish OLL, as that will cut your average with minimal effort. Then in terms of lookahead, practice seeing if you can look ahead to next pairs in f2l if you can, and ignore cross+1. The general consensus is that cross+1 is attempted after you reach sub 12, but that being said I can’t really do it unless I have a very good white/yellow cross solution and I average about 10-11 for context. So that’s probably the best time, as for me tracing f2l pieces during inspection is much harder than just looking ahead during my f2l. But you need to finish OLL as otherwise you’ll probably never perfect it, just as I found with my cross+1, and you’ll get stuck

Thanks Everyone! I've been getting closer to sub-15 but Not quite there yet. What other tips do you have?
Try doing 2-Gen practice. Helps a bit with lookahead and will, in the long run, improve TPS. If you have any bigger cubes, solve those as well, as that will help your lookahead in 3x3 as well.
