stumped with my Magic

i was messing around not really paying attention with my Rubics magic and now im in a position that i have no idea how to get out of. my magic looks like this:

how do i flatten it back to the 2x4?? or atleast make it an L shape so i can use the youtube video i came across on the boards.

Keep playing with it, you'll get it back eventually.

Try to get it into one of the configurations shown at the bottom here: http://www.jaapsch.net/puzzles/magicstd.htm
Then you should easily be able to get it back to solved.

Mine is exactly the same way OP. I've been messing with it for around 20 mins and I haven't been able to change the configuration at all. Feels like it's permenantly stuck this way now.

Take the 2 floating tiles and fold them inwards, then rotate the 2 other tiles in that place over the floating 2, then You should be able to get it back to normal

Awsome, thanks! Finally managed to get it out of that configuration. It's still totally screwed up. But at least I have more hope of maybe one day getting it back to a 2x4 flat shape.

I call this the bad configuration. you just have to turn it in such a way that it gos back. i've done it twice before.
